In November and December 2018 I was traveling through different parts of Mexico, such as Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Mexico City, and Michoacan. Most frequently asked question: Isn't it dangerous in Mexico? – yes, it can be dangerous, of course, like in any part of the world, you can get robbed, killed,.. maybe yes, it’s more dangerous over there. But lucky me – I felt comfortable at any time, didn’t get robbed, didn’t feel in danger. The very reverse – staying with locals at airbnbs, going alone to local markets talking to people, getting to know people in the streets, eating at restaurants and having conversations for hours – I learned a lot about Mexicans, the country and their culture. I was totally thrilled by the many interesting conversations I had, totally thrilled by people’s warmth and hospitality. And that’s what’s important to me and what should be in people’s minds when it comes to stereotypes and ideas about countries. And yes - It’s not only a beautiful country due to the people living there but also because of its stunning landscapes it has to offer. This is only a short selection of all the photos I took during my stay. Hope you like it.
